Be a Pirate! Bosses: Encounters and Challenge Objectives

Spoiler warning: Boss names, late-game locations and hidden achievement conditions follow.

Named Boss Encounters

Boss	Location and encounter objective
Quartermaster Voss	Beat Lashlight Key, where Voss gets back up. Beat Gallows Shadow to see him fall for good.
Coilback Leviathan	Defeat it at Anchorhome Isle.
Admiral's Herald	Defeat him at Broken Compass Cay.
Crown Admiral Voth Kraaz	Defeat him at Port Raleigh and free the Crimson Expanse.
Kraken	Defeat it twice in a single Endless run at Port Raleigh for Kraken Wrangler.

See the map story objectives for the wider sequence of battles and rescues.

Voss, Herald and Voth Challenges

These achievement conditions define specific objectives, not a tested strategy or tower build.

Image: Steam / Noble Rogues

Achievement	Exact unlock condition
Dodged the Skiff	Defeat Quartermaster Voss without his skiff wrecking one of your towers.
Disarmed	Defeat the Admiral's Herald before he lands a blow on your ship.
Not One Step Further	Kill Crown Admiral Voth Kraaz before he reaches the halfway line.

Watch the distinction between each target: Voss's challenge concerns tower destruction by his skiff, the Herald's concerns a blow against your ship, and Voth's concerns his position.

Kraken Challenges

The Kraken has four separate objectives. Clear the Way requires preserving every structure against it, while Speed Bump requires allowing structure losses; keep those goals separate.

Achievement	Exact unlock condition
Clear the Way	Defeat the Kraken without losing a single structure to it.
Sold Out from Under Him	Sell a tower while the Kraken's lash is winding up on it.
Speed Bump	Let the Kraken crush 10 of your structures in one battle.
Kraken Wrangler	Defeat the Kraken twice in a single Endless run at Port Raleigh.

For the other survival milestones, see the Endless objective reference.

Bounty Hunter is the broader boss tally: defeat 100 bosses. Mini-bosses count.
