Be a Pirate! Tower Upgrades: Armory and Battle Guide

Be a Pirate! has tower upgrades bought during battle, tower ownership in the Armory, and Gem Levels. Each has its own milestones.

Battle Upgrades, Armory Ownership, and Gem Levels

Battle upgrades	Spend Doubloons mid-match to change a tower visibly and functionally.	Four tracks: Offense, Range, Specialty, and Signature.
Armory ownership	Buy and own towers in the Armory.	Your first tower purchase and ownership of every tower.
Gem Levels	Raise a tower's Gem Level.	Level 10, Level 20, and every tower at Level 20.

During battle, each tower has Offense and Range tracks, a tower-specific Specialty, and a unique Signature ability that changes how it fights.

Keep the two kinds of upgrade goals separate: buying battle upgrades for one tower advances a different objective from raising a tower’s Gem Level. Armory ownership has its own collection goals, too.

Tower Upgrade Achievement Checklist

Achievement	Exact requirement
Arms Dealer	Buy your first tower in the Armory.
Full Arsenal	Own every tower in the Armory.
Gem-Studded	Raise a tower to Gem Level 10.
Polished to Perfection	Raise a tower to Gem Level 20.
Master Armorer	Raise every tower to Gem Level 20.
Fully Rigged	Buy all 20 battle upgrades for a single tower.

For Fully Rigged, the requirement applies to one tower. Twenty battle upgrades spread across several towers do not meet that condition. Master Armorer instead requires every tower to reach Gem Level 20.
